Who built it
Edessa was founded in 2025 by Thaddeus Demeke, previously a Senior Data Scientist at Genentech and Founder of Elevaite. It is a product of ElevaiteWorks LLC, a California limited liability company based in Sacramento, California. Edessa launched in August 2026.
The name
Edessa.ai is a software product. It is not the ancient city of Edessa in Mesopotamia, and not Edessa in Greece. If you were looking for either of those, this is the wrong Edessa.
