Overview

This workflow issues personalized completion certificates to students who have successfully completed all AI Workflows Academy bootcamp requirements. Certificates are issued as PDFs with personalized congratulatory emails after submission review and approval.

Before You Start

Student submission has been reviewed and approved against the Certification Checklist
Access to Canva template: https://www.canva.com/design/DAHEVl9RZ9g/9Xt0uBTlpWLBiBoU4vJ7ow/edit
Student's full name and completion date confirmed
Email access for sending certificates

Steps

Review the student submission and confirm they have met all requirements per the Certification Checklist
Open the Canva certificate template at the provided URL
Duplicate the template page (do not edit the original)
Replace "Thaddeus Demeke" with the student's full name
Update the certified month and year
Double-check spelling before exporting
Export the certificate: File → Download → PDF Standard
Name the file: AWA-Certificate-[FirstName-LastName].pdf
Compose email using the provided template with subject "You're certified — AI Workflows Academy"
Personalize the email with the student's first name
Attach the PDF certificate to the email
Send the certification email to the student

Quality Check

Student's name is spelled correctly on the certificate
Month and year match the completion date
PDF file follows the naming convention: AWA-Certificate-[FirstName-LastName].pdf
Email includes the correct student's first name
Certificate PDF is successfully attached to the email

Common Issues

Avoid editing the original Canva template - always duplicate first
If volume increases significantly, consider batch processing certificates after the April 20, 11:59pm PST deadline
LinkedIn badge issuance is pending Credly setup for future implementation
